Cormos Medical is looking forward to CSI 2022 in Frankfurt. We will participate with two contributions and show our latest developments.
Cormos Medical’s new 3D printer supports the development of occluders and valve bodies, especially in early design discovery phases. The technology allows the fastest possible production and evaluation of various iterations of hand samples and prototypes.
Printed fixtures for positioning, adjusting and clamping of our usability models, microscopes, materials testing machines and optical test benches also enable cost-effectives and fast solutions for our manufacturing processes.
Our filament printer with 2 independent extruders and heated and ventilated installation space supports printing of common ABS, PLA and nylon materials. However, by using flexible TPU and water soluble PVA support structures, more advanced geometries are also manufacturable.
We are excited about these new capabilities and will directly benefit through faster design response times and more accurate design input from our clinical users.
Comos® Medical GmbH will participate in the 25th CSI Frankfurt. You can find more information about the conference here: CSI-Frankfurt
Cormos Medical together with JenCam GmbH has developed an optical measuring instrument for the digital measuring of the Cormos® LAA occluder. It comprises a dual camera system including application software, which has been programmed for the special requirements of Cormos Medical. Thanks to this measuring system, the tests are much faster and another milestone on the way to the approval of the Cormos® Medical LAA Occluder is reached.
Cormos® Medical GmbH is a new member in the medways network since 11/02/2021. The medways e. V. enterprise, which is funded by the EU and the State of Thuringia, is a competent partner for research projects, the approval of medical devices, the introduction of QM systems according to DIN EN ISO 13485 and the advanced training of personnel. Medways has an impressive network of more than 70 members, which are well-known companies, universities and research institutions with a focus on medical technology in Thuringia.
